GEOSYM assisted this project from 2005 to 2008 with seismic shear wave measurements in the area of Banda Aceh, Sumatra and Bantul/Jawa.
BGR advises the project partners in these tasks within the project "Management of Georisks, Aceh Province". The project activities aimed to provide the planning authorities with technical information and to support the execution process in order to better and permanently protect the population from natural hazards.
